Carl Bialik from WSJ writes "Palm ramped up its marketing campaign for its Treo smartphone while rival Research in Motion was embroiled in a patent fight, the Wall Street Journal reports. 'The result: at least 1,500 new inquiries about the Treo in the past few months from corporate customers, resulting in 600 free trials, Palm says. In total, Palm says it has more than doubled its number of sales leads since October.

Today, KTF Technologies introduced the slimmest cell phone of all, the remarkably thin 7.9 millimeter EV-K100, which weighs in at an extremely light 60 grams (2.1 ounces) as well.

The MDA is T-Mobile's first Windows Mobile 5 PDA / Phone, and while there's nothing spectacularly impressive about it, there's a whole lot to like in this tiny do-it-all device. Read here for the full review.

While many businessmen (and women!) can't live without their Blackberries, there is definitely a population of suit-wearing, office-working professionals who prefer something more phone-like. The A900, with its simple, thin, black profile and familiar phone interface may be just the phone for those people - people for whom a simple keypad, clean interface and access to advanced features are important.

I'd like to propose a simple scenario to you. What if your computing devices consisted of a laptop and a Treo-style Smartphone? You use the laptop to do all the normal computing tasks, as well as some extras such as play games or some sort of development work here and there. You have your Treo as a main data organizer and means of email management when out and about. You do the occasional budgeting and gaming, but for the most part it is an assisting computing device.

The Xplore M68 smartphone from GSPDA is a Palm OS smartphone primarily sold in the Asian and European markets. GSPDA had previously announced they were going to bring their M-series smartphones to North America, however nothing ever materialized in the US besides the press release.

Kinpo is a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer, which has already produced Pocket PC Phones like the S600, we reported about last year. Now the FCC's documents reveal a new Kinpo PPC, running on Windows Mobile 5.0 platform and featuring Wi-Fi. Kinpo iDo SP70 is probably the successor of the S600.
